Our Story
La Casita Pupuseria & Cocina C.A. opened its doors in August 2016 in the historic Roy’s Place building. Our focus at our first full-service dining experience is providing a Central American menu with classics from El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras & Guatemala. This food shines a light not only our family recipes but also delicious foods that we have loved in our travels. Our menu also includes a full-bar menu with a specialized rum selection, signature cocktails, and imported Central-American beers. We feature an open-air atmosphere with a garden patio and natural light throughout. We feature artisan decorations that we have collected over the years.
We love being part of the Old Town Gaithersburg community and really embrace the diversity and energy of our staff and patrons.
Samuel Jimenez is general manager at La Casita Pupuseria & Cocina C.A. He received Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Costa Rica in Business Administration. Through his professional career, he has learned to embrace change. Believing passionately in the power of leading by example. He pushes to create a culture of the healthy work environment, teamwork, respect, and cooperation.
